Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Although Martin Luther King Jr. ’s primary goal was racial integration, he still wholeheartedly agreed with giving back to the community and striving to make a difference.
This week is the perfect time for you to honor King by committing simple acts of kindness. Dr. King taught on the basis of these values: justice, compassion, responsibility, non-violence, and moral courage. You can put these values into practice by performing positive acts in your home and community.
Dr. King’s works served as inspiration to many in 1963 and still serve as inspiration 2009. He was best known for his goal to strive make a difference without violence. With his many speeches and non-violent protest, it isn’t difficult to be inspired just by his determination.
You can read about some of the things he did at http://www.mlkonline.net/bio.html, and get inspired to start making a difference in the community!
